VP, UN's officials discuss situations in Yemen

SANA'A, April 06 (Saba)- Vice President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi met here on Wednesday with the United Nations Secretary-General's
Advisor Gamal bin Omar and the UN's Resident-Representative in Sana'a Pratibha Mehta.
At the meeting, the two sides discussed the current situations in light of the developments at the national arena and talked over the points included in the recent initiatives
provided by political action parties.
Hadi reviewed developments of the democratic path after the reunification of Yemen on May 22 in 1990 and the nature of the political parties' composition according to the
multilateral system.
In this regard, Hadi affirmed that the political leadership is broad-minded, referring that President Ali Abdullah Saleh phoned on Tuesday the UN's Secretary-General Ban
Ki-moon and briefed him on all those developments.
He pointed out that the unrealistic demands, which are away from the logic, may lead to a situation that nobody wants, stressing the importance of cooperation of the UN
in maintaining the democratic achievement and the safety of Yemen from destructive chaos that may affect regional and global security.
