Aktau will celebrate Constitution Day as one family

Aktau, 29 August, (Khabar) - Aktau is a multinational city where over 90
ethnic groups live together. The public association, "People's Accord,"
unites more than 20 national and cultural centers. Givi Svanidze can be
referred to as the old resident of Aktau, since he participated in the very
foundation of the new city and remained in Kazakhstan after having served in
the army, saying this land has become his homeland during the 48 years he
has spent here. Now, as a pensioner with a backlog of life experience, he is
certain that friendships, which can be started from small actions, are the
wealth of the people. Givi is the head of the Georgian cultural center,
"Sakartvelo," in the Mangistau region, which includes the "People's Accord"
association. A discussion entitled "Accord will provide stability" was
recently held in the center with the assistance of his Ossetian colleague,
Fatima Birkle. She came to Kazakhstan from North Ossetia 32 years ago and
now lives in Aktau, where she has headed the regional Ossetian displaced
minority, "Alan," for 13 years now. She has brought up two sons and their
homeland is now Kazakhstan.

Fatima Birkle, chairperson, Ossetian displaced minority "Alan":
- I like the order here. I can feel how good it is to live here. The people
who live with me - my compatriots, think the same. I am often asked if I
plan to move to North Ossetia, to my historical homeland, but I don't even
think about moving there for a permanent residence.

As people sitting at the table say, they all want a peaceful sky to be over
their children's heads because all people in Kazakhstan appreciate accord
and stability.

Givi Svanidze, chairman, "Sakartvelo" center:
- Of course, good actions are not easy to do. It takes a lot of effort. The
President is paying attention to the multinational people living here. We
are moving forward thanks to the wise president.

There are common holidays which are celebrated in large, close-knit
families. One of them is the forthcoming Constitution Day, which guarantees
a worthy standard of living, prosperity and well-being to each citizen of
Kazakhstan.
