Yemen LNG plant carries on normal operations
PARIS, April 8 (Saba)- French oil major Total SA's (TOT) oil and gas output in Yemen is running as normal despite political crisis
in the country, the company's top official Christophe de Margerie said.
''Yemen LNG plants in Balhaf, Shabwa province, have been carried on normal operations'', Margerie said during an oil conference held in the French capital Paris.
However, Yemen LNG, that runs Yemen LNG Project, denied reports that its operations have been affected by protests and said that the plants have still been in normal operations.
Yemen LNG made a comment that the protests have had no influence over the plants, and that the company has still now shipped two cargoes of LNG every week.
As reported, YLNG shipped the 100th LNG cargo last month since its start of production. The company is scheduled to ship 104 cargoes of LNG in 2011.
