FINANCE MINISTER MEETS EBRD HEAD

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A president of the European bank for reconstruction and development /EBRD/, Tomas Mirow is visiting Mongolia at the invitation of the Minister of finance.
The Minister received representatives led by Mirow at the Government house Friday.
Mongolia joined with EBRD in 2000, becoming a member with drawing rights. For the time being, Mongolia has received over 400 million US dollars investments and credit financing.
S.Bayartsogt has thanked the bank for trying to attract money from other resources and for activity in the private sector that help strengthen business leaders' structure.
The sides have touched upon Mongolian Government's actions in economics and budget. The Minister said the private sector is the main drive force of Mongolia's economy's, so the Government is supporting this sphere by allotting money for it in the state budget and assisting the small and middle production.
The two talked about state policy in budget, economy, finance, and expressed a mutual satisfaction with successful realization of projects and programmes.
