PREMIER AND CONSTRUCTION SECTOR MEET

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold has held a meeting convening representatives of construction sector's associations and NGOs.
The Premier has said he is maintaining a policy to exploit a capability of professional unions and NGOs for the country's development, raising issues of ways to realizing the “100 thousand apartments” governmental programme, of roles of professional unions in it.
The gathered have pointed their appreciation for this programme that aims to deal with air pollution in UB city, to reduce a poverty and unemployment rates, as well as for giving them an opportunity to work for several years.
Members of the Union of Construction Material Producers have denied that construction materials and facilities' prices have soared due to this governmental programme, and promised to reliably provide the construction assembling companies with cheap but standard materials.
In response, the Premier has pointed out that the cabinet will pay a special attention to involving more national companies in realization of the program and to supporting of domestic factories and companies. “But the government will put a tough control over the quality and standards,” the Premier has stressed.
He has obliged the city's Mayor to tackle a problem with lands for erecting micro districts. Then he said 1,548 licensed construction entities must enter a unified organization because the “100 thousand apartments” programme is a "nationwide great construction". He has underlined there would be no problem about financial matters if the construction satisfies the people' interests.
