FOREIGN MINISTER PAYS WORKING VISIT TO UAE
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia G.Zandanshatar paid a working visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on April 5-6 after taking part in the first general assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) held April 4-5 in Abu Dhabi.
In frames of the visit, the Foreign Minister has met with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs. They have shared views on strengthening the Mongolia-UAE relations and cooperation and developing cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture, mining and construction. During this meeting, G.Zandanshatar has invited his counterpart to visit Mongolia.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has said the UAE has an aspiration to forward the bilateral relations and to make the relations strengthened and sustainable, and underlined an importance to ratify agreements in the nearest future on protecting and supporting investments, and on mutual exemption from double taxation in order to back investments.
Moreover, G.Zandanshatar has met with His Highness Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the UAE Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The Foreign Minister of Mongolia has expressed a willingness to develop the collaboration in the educational sector and to augment number of Mongolian students to study in the UAE. Furthermore, G.Zandanshatar has held a meeting with authorities of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC). The sides have exchanged views on cooperating in exploiting nuclear energy for peaceful purposes.
