LAWS PUBLISHED IN BRAILLE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Some laws of Mongolia have been published in Braille dedicated to visually impaired people in frames of a project of improving service of legal sector with financing of the Ministry of Justice and Internal Affairs and the World Bank (WB); and a middle-term program of propaganda of justice.
The laws in Braille are mainly related to the visually impartial people such the UN Convention on The Rights of Persons with Disabilities, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR), the Criminal Law, the law on labor, the law on family and other legal documents. Thanks to translating the laws into Braille, the visually impaired people have had an opportunity to study these laws and to obtain information about the rights of the people in protection of international conventions and treaties. It means they are able to have information on protecting their rights within these documents.
The Braille books of the laws will be distributed to training center for visually impaired people, public libraries, special schools and local branches of the National Union of Mongolia for the Visually Impaired People.
