MAXIMUM PRECIPITATION WAS IN KHARKHORIN SOUM

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ According to the report of the Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology, maximum precipitation was registered in Kharkhorin soum (21.5 mm) of Ovorkhangai aimag in March, 2011.
This March, Khanbogd soum of Omnogovi aimag and Sainshand, Zamiin-Uud, and Khovsgol soums of Dornogovi aimag had the highest air temperature (+19.0°C), while Otgon soum of Zavkhan aimag had the lowest air temperature (-43.0°C). Wind speed reached 14-25 m/sec in most areas of the country.
Daily average concentration of nitrogen dioxide exceeded 27 times around West crossroad of Ulaanbaatar city, 21 times around 32nd Toirog, 20 times around Kharkhorin market, 11 times around 1st micro district, 8 times around Khan-Uul district, 7 times around the Palace of Officers, respectively; daily average concentration of sulphur dioxide exceeded 31 times around 32nd Toirog, 24 times around West crossroad, 22 times around Kharkhorin market, 21 times around 1st micro district, 17 times Palace of Officers, 10 times around Khan-Uul district; particulate matter less than 10 micrograms exceeded 31 times around 32nd Circle, 25 times around West crossroad, 21 times around Kharkhorin market, 11 times around Khan-Uul district; particulate matter less than 2.5 micrograms exceeded 24 times around West crossroad from the maximum allowable concentration of air quality standard in March, 2011.
