STATISTICS: OVER 250 THOUSAND HEADS OF ANIMALS LOST
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In the first quarter of 2011, at national level, 257.9 thousand heads of adult animals had lost, which equals to 0.8 percent of total livestock at beginning of the year.
Of which, 9.0 thousand heads were horses, 21.8 thousand heads were cows, 0.4 thousand heads were camels, 107.6 thousand heads were sheep and 119.2 thousand heads were goats. Out of losses of adult animals, 46.2 percent were goats.
