Bulgarian FM: GCC initiative is good basis to resolve Yemen crisis
SANA'A (Saba) - The initiative of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Member States is a good
basis to address Yemen crisis, Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nickolay Mladenov has said.
Upon his departure, Mladenov affirmed the importance of dialogue among the various political powers in Yemen and rejecting violence.
"The dialogue is the best means to help the Yemeni parties to come out of the current crisis, for any other solution can be regarded as hard and unacceptable.", the Bulgarian
FM added.
He also accented the significance of accelerating the involvement of the Yemeni government and opposition in the GCC's initiative in order to achieve conciliation between
them to end the country's crisis.
The European official confirmed the European Union supports the GCC's initiative and the Gulf efforts to assist the Yemeni parties to overcome this crisis.
