Children Parliament calls on all parties not to use children as political tool in Yemen

Children Parliament calls on all parties not to use children as political tool SANA'A, April 15 (Saba)- The Members of the Children Parliament of Yemen have highlighted their
concern of the involvement of children in the present civil unrest in Yemen.
In a press release, the CPM call on all parties to protect children from violence resulting from the unrest, with a special role for the adults.
"We, the members of the Children Parliament, express our sorrow for the lack of protection of children against violence and the resulting casualties among children'', they
said.
Children's right to education is also being violated as many children have not been able to attend school.
Teachers are on strike or are demonstrating, teachers ask children to be part of demonstrations, or schools were threatened if opening.
''We call all parties to take into consideration their responsibility to protect children and to keep the best interest of the child into view in these times of civil unrest'',
they added.
