SPEAKER ATTENDS OPENING OF U.S CONGRESS GROUP FOR MONGOLIA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker D.Demberel has attended an opening ceremony of a group of supporting Mongolia at the U.S Congress, on the way to the Republic of Panama to take part in the 124th Assembly of the Inter parliamentary Union (IPU) kicked off April 13 in Panama city.
He has given a speech at the ceremony in presence of G.Batkhuu, a Vice Speaker and deputy leader of Mongolia's Parliamentary Group; Ch.Saikhanbileg MP, a leader of the Democratic Party's faction at the State Great Khural; Ts.Tsengel MP; John McCain, a senator; authorities of the group; and members of the House of Representatives Joseph R. Pitts, James A. McDermott and J. Rehberg.
The sides have underlined an importance of the cooperation of the legislative bodies in the development of the Mongolia-USA relations and cooperation.
The Speaker has expressed thanks to the U.S side for supporting and assisting Mongolia from the very day of choosing the democracy. The congressmen Joseph R. Pitts and James A. McDermott have mentioned that the U.S people are satisfied with a successful development of the democracy in Mongolia, emphasizing that the Congress Group for Mongolia will make all efforts to strengthen the Mongolia-USA partnership.
