ORGANIZING COMMITTEE OF STATE CELEBRATION MEETS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A meeting of the organizing committee held Thursday approved a composition and working plan for organizing the national great festival and inter-branch composition.
A great importance is attached to this year's celebration because it is coincided with the 2,220th anniversary of the First State of Mongolia, the 100th anniversary of the Revolution of National Freedom, the 90th anniversary of the People's Revolution.
In accordance with the meeting's decision, the great celebration will start with "Days of World Mongolians" on July 1, 2011. It will take nine days featuring exhibitions of Mongolian horses, Mongolian script, Mongolian ger (national dwelling) and dresses. Moreover, campaign medals, stamps and coins will be issued.
The organizing committee has introduced urban furnishing work to Ch.Bat, the general manager of Ulaanbaatar city. According to the organizing committee, for the illumination will be spent MNT 27.3 billion, MNT 10.3 billion of it will be used before a start of the celebration. In a scope of the furnishing, 122 km footway, 32 fountains, and 47 sports complexes will be constructed.
The Deputy Premier and head of the organizing committee has obliged leaders of the branch committees to add car parks near the central stadium and horse race and archery areas, and to lay down lawn on related areas. In addition to it, the organizing committee has begun a preparation for national tournaments of wrestling to run among 1,024 wrestlers, and horse race contests among 3,200-4,000 horses in six age-categories.
Directors of the celebration's artistic events have been named--a State Prize Holder and choreographer S.Sukhbaatar, and a producer of the Academic Ensemble of National Songs and Dance B.Ganbold will conduct concerts of the opening and closing ceremonies. The artists' group of 1,000 Morin Khuur players and 100 long-song singers will give a performance. A twice State Prize Holder and composer N.Jantsannorov will conduct the state honorary concert. A People's Artist D.Jamyandagva will work as an advisor. Events to run on the Sukhbaatar square will be conducted by S.Onobat, a producer of the "On'n Off" production, and by J.Od-Erdene, a director of the "Total music" center.
