D.DEMBEREL IS PARTICIPATING IN IPU'S ASSEMBLY
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A parliamentary delegation headed by the Speaker D.Demberel is taking part in the124th Assembly of the Inter parliamentary Union (IPU) which is running in Panama city. Under a main topic "Responsibility of parliament: For ensuring confidence of people", the assembly is holding discussions on a present situation of the world's politics and economics.
The participants have raised vital issues such as “Providing a sound legislative framework aimed at preventing electoral violence, improving election monitoring and ensuring the smooth transition of power”, “The role of parliaments in ensuring sustainable development through the management of natural resources, agricultural production and demographic change” and “Transparency and accountability in the funding of political parties and election campaigns”.
Mentioning that world's countries have various cultures and levels of political and economic development, the Mongolian Speaker has underlined that it is important to ensure the economic growth by exploiting its advantages and to avoid any conflicts. “The economic growth is made when the political stability is ensured. The economic growth is one of the opportunities to overcome poverty, living weakness and unemployment. Reputation of parliament is raised with a certain achievement in economics and social life gaining the people's confidence,” D.Demberel has stressed and appreciated the assembly's agendas that regard refining upon the electoral system for political stability and running free and fair elections.
In frames of the assembly, the Speaker has met with Jose Muñoz Molina, president of the National Assembly of Panama, to discuss establishing of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and Panama. The two have underlined that an opportunity exists to develop a cooperation in the agricultural and tourism sectors.
Then Demberel has met Norbert Lammert, President of the Bundestag. They have said the Mongolia-Germany comprehensive partnership has been boosting successfully, and expressed a mutual willingness to develop relations between the inter-parliamentary friendship groups and collaboration between the parliamentary Standing committees and offices. They also have expressed a willingness to forward the traditional ties in the educational sphere. D.Demberel has said the Deutsche Bank has been selected as the main organizer to issue Initial public offering of the “Erdenes Tavantolgoi” company.
Moreover, D.Demberel has met with the vice president of the National Council of Monaco.
The assembly will last until April 20.
