Azerbaijan`s Minister of Emergency Situations meets Latvian Interior Minister

Baku, April 19 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Emergency Situations Kamaladdin Heydarov met Monday Latvian delegation led by Minister of Internal Affairs Linda Murniece.
Heydarov briefed Mrs. Murniece on the accomplishments in Azerbaijan in social and economic spheres and the workings of the Ministry.
Mrs. Murniece, in turn, said friendly and cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia were developing in all spheres. She underscored the necessity of development of cooperation in management of emergency situations between the two countries` relevant structures.
They discussed the implementation of the “Agreement between the Government of Azerbaijan and Government of Latvia on cooperation in warning about emergency situations and their elimination” signed in Riga on January 17, 2011.
The visit program also includes familiarization with the activity of a number of structures of Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Emergency Situations.
