Russia's inflation 0.3 prc on April 1-18, slightly over 4 prc since

MOSCOW, April 21 (Itar-Tass) -- Inflation in Russia was 0.1 percent in
the week of April 12-18, 0.3 percent since the beginning of the moth and
4.1 percent since the start of the year, the Federal Service for State
Statistics said.
In the week under review, millet prices went up by 1.5 percent, egg
and buckwheat prices rose by 1.2 percent and 1.1 percent respectively,
sausages, frozen fish, vermicelli, biscuits, caramel and chocolate candies
appreciated by 0.3-0.4 percent.
The price of granulated sugar dropped by 1.1 percent, and that of
cheese, flour and rice by 0.2-0.4 percent.
Vegetable and fruit prices decreased by 0.4 percent on the average,
including potato by 1.1 percent, but cabbage prices went up by 0.1 percent.
Petrol prices increased by 0.3 percent, and the price of diesel fuel
by 0.1 percent.
Municipal bus fare rose by 0.4 percent.
