Turkish foreign trade minister meets Indian CEOs

NEW DELHI (A.A) - 21.04.2011 - Turkish state minister for foreign trade, Zafer Caglayan, on Wednesday met with a group of CEOs from India-based companies in a bid to explore ways to boost business ties.
Caglayan said he had invited the Indian companies to invest in Turkey in the fields of energy, construction, electronics, civil aviation, ship building as well as mining and automotive sector.
Caglayan said the CEO he met with represented the nine Indian companies which had an aggregate annual turnover of 90 billion U.S. dollars.
The Turkish minister said Turkey could offer Indian companies great opportunities in reaching out to markets in the European Union, the Middle East, Central Asia, Caucasus and North Africa.  
Caglayan also met with India's Minister of Industry and Commerce Anand Sharma, adding that their talks achieved major progress in efforts to sign an economic partnership deal between the two countries.
