Emirati Oud soloist graduated from ADACH Arabian Oud House

Abu Dhabi, April 24, 2011 (WAM) - The Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) celebrated Wednesday night the graduation of Emirati Oud soloist Faisal Al Sari from the Arabian Oud House (Bait Al Oud Al Arabi).
A specialised committee awarded Al Sari his graduation certificate in a ceremony held at Arabian Oud House in Abu Dhabi in the presence of traditional Arab music lovers.
One of the most significant projects undertaken by ADACH is perhaps Bait Al Oud Al Arabi; this project focuses on the Arabian lute. Such an undertaking has never before been made within the Arabian Gulf and as a result it is unique in its conception and actualisation.
Abdullah Al Ameri, Director of Culture and Arts at ADACH , said " The main focus of Bait Al Oud Al Arabi is to revive the Arabian musical heritage. The project also identifies and emphasises the significance and influence of the music which emanates from the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region. Through the recognition of the complex rhythms and influences of this music, the project has attempted to reflect the diversity which has been granted such musical prominence within the assembly" He pointed out that "Faisal Sari is perhaps one of the more prominent students of the house. Hailing from the United Arab Emirates, Sari has demonstrated that he possesses extensive talent, excellent artistic taste, rich scientific authority and creative practical experience. He is thought by many to be an artist who is able to effectively and passionately reflect the richness of the musical heritage of the UAE and the Gulf region". - Emirates News Agency, WAM
