Yemen: trade volume with KSA reaches YR 219 bln in 2010

SANA'A (Saba) - The volume of mutual trade between Yemen and Saudi Arabia reached YR 219.1 billion in 2010
by an increase of YR 41.8 billion from 2009 ,with a growth rate of 6.23 percent.
The Central Organization of Statistics (COS)'s data indicated that the value of Yemeni exports to Saudi Arabia amounted to more than YR 53.5 billion, compared with about
YR 38.4 billion in 2009.
While on the other hand, the data noted that the value of Yemen's imports from Saudi Arabia exceeded YR 165.5 billion, compared with YR 138.7 billion during the same period
in 2009.
According to statistical date, the trade balance between the two countries reached YR 111.9 billion in 2010 for the benefit of Saudi Arabia, with a difference estimated
at YR 11.6 billion from 2009.
