BANK PERMATA`S PROFIT UP 108 PCT
Jakarta, April 28 (ANTARA) - Bank Permata last year saw its net profit surge 108 percent to Rp997 billion compared to a year earlier.
The surge in net profit was fueled by the rising amount of credits which grew by up to 27 percent year-on-year to Rp51.2 trillion in 2010, Bank Permata President Director David Fletcher said following a general shareholders meeting here on Wednesday.
"This reflects PermataBank`s commitment in carrying out its intermediary function in the Indonesian economy," he said.
The bank`s total operating profit last year rose 46 percent to Rp1.1 trillion from the year before on the back of net interest income and fee-based income.
Net interest income increased 23 percent year-on-year to Rp3.1 trillion, while other operating income reached Rp871 billion in 2010.
