Chinese company invest in high-heeled hotel in Luang Prabang

VIENTIANE ,APRIL KPL) - A Chinese company from Yunnan province, China has invested US$45 million in construction of a high-heeled hotel in Luang Prabang province, a tourism town of the Lao PDR.
A groundbreaking ceremony of high-heeled hotel, invested by Thongdaeng Group of Yunnan province was held at Sangkalok village, Luang Prang province in the presence of Luang Prabang Governor, Dr. Khampheng Saysompheng, Director of Thongdeang Group, Vice- President of Laos and China Cooperation Committee, who is also Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Mrs. Khemmany Pholsena and both sides officials.
Director of Thongdaeng Group said that, “the high-heeled hotel will give more options for tourists to select their leisure in Luang Prabang province-world heritage town of UNESCO”.
The hotel construction project will also construct a full set facility including a resort, a restaurant, a conference room, an exhibition hall, a tourism site and an entertainment.
The high-heeled hotel will be built on 10 ha, which will have two phases of construction.
The first phase construction will conduct on 4.5 ha and the last one is on 5.5 ha.
