STREET CHILDREN WILL OWN PROFESSIONS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A resident representative of UNICEF to Mongolia R.Flowers has visited Children's educational special center.
The center was established in 1998 at initiative of a Mayor of Ulaanbaatar with aims to educate homeless children and to give them a care. To date, it shelters some 118 children who study in schools nearby. The center accommodates street children for some period of time, then return them to parents, if it fails, brings them back.
Since 1998, many have grown up, and a question "what to do with them in the future?" has become a real problem. In view of this, a Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city has decided to spare for 18-24 old ones a separate dwelling within the center's territory and to establish this center to have them acquire professions.
