Nazarbayev urges joint efforts for creating new world order

ASTANA, May 3 (Itar-Tass) - Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev has
expressed confidence that it is necessary to create a new world order with
participation of the whole world community.
In his opening remarks to the fourth economic forum in Astana the
Kazakh leader noted that the world is facing a new stage of development,
therefore the issue of "how a new world order will be built, what rules
will be effective in the post-crisis period concerns absolutely everybody."
"I believe that all countries should pool their efforts to draft these
rules," Nazarbayev said. "Only in this case a new world order will meet
the interests of each and everyone."
The president of the Central Asian republic called for "ensuring food
security at the regional and global levels" as price hikes since last June
increased the number of people who live below the poverty line by 44
million.
Nazarbayev underlined that coordinated international actions are
needed to ensure food security.
He invited foreign investors to take part in projects that have a
strong base and a good business climate.
"Traditionally Kazakhstan is an exporter of high-quality food grain.
Along with this unique natural conditions allowed us to develop a program
to boost the export of organic meat products to 180,000 tonnes by 2020,"
he said. "This is a very serious ambitious program and I believe we have
all necessary to translate it into reality."
