Azeri MP meets UN chief

Baku, May 10 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijani MP Ganira Pashayeva has met United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon as part the Global Summit of Women in Istanbul, Turkey.
Pashayeva, who is a member of the PACE Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women and Men, highlighted Armenia`s military occupation against Azerbaijan. She said that throughout history Armenians committed crimes, terrorist acts and genocides against Azerbaijanis and Turks.
“Armenians destroyed historic, cultural and religious monuments, cemeteries belonging to the Azerbaijani people. For over twenty years over million Azerbaijanis have been refugees and IDPs.”
The Azeri MP stressed the importance of fulfilling four UN Security Council resolutions demanding an unconditional withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from Azerbaijan`s occupied lands.
Pashayeva handed the UN Secretary General books and material featuring Armenians` crimes against Azerbaijanis.
The Azeri MP also had meetings with a number of participants of the summit to hand them material highlighting Armenia`s occupation of Shusha.
