Azerbaijan and Israel`s ICT companies hold business forum

Baku, May 16 (AzerTAc). As part of the visit of an Israeli delegation led by Deputy Minister of Communications of Eden Bar Tal to Azerbaijan, a business forum between Azerbaijan and Israel`s ICT companies took place at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan on May 16.
Opening the forum, Deputy Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Iltimas Mammadov briefed the participants on the state support rendered by Azerbaijani government to communications and information technologies in the country. He also provided detailed information on activities implemented in the country in the field of ICT. Speaking about the work carried out in launching national telecommunications satellite and project e-government, Deputy Minister recalled wide experience of Israeli companies in the mentioned areas and emphasized the existence of favorable opportunities for further cooperation.
Highly appreciating the dynamic development of cooperation between the two countries, Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan Michael Lotem underlined the expansion of relations in ICT sphere. The diplomat expressed hope that there will be new cooperation between separate companies within the ongoing meetings.
Deputy Minister of Telecommunications Eden Bar Tal said the documents to be signed will serve as a background for further strengthening relations between the two countries.
Then, the visitors got acquainted with ICT companies of both countries.
Israeli representatives will stay in Azerbaijan a few days and continue talks with local companies.
