Maliki: Qaeda, terrorists and militias engaged in the same crimes committed by the former regime

Baghdad (NINA) - Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki called on those he described as partners to achieve "harmony, interaction and hard work to reach stability in the political process."

He said in a speech today at the ceremony held by the Ministry of Human Rights on the occasion of National Day of mass graves "unless the political process settles and our partners interact in a real way according to the constitutional framework, no sovereignty, security, advanced education, or the best investment of wealth would be achieved."

He added, according to a statement issued by his office "the families that have sacrificed their men and sons in the mass graves and all Iraqis want to see their country stable and in progress."

Maliki praised and welcomed, at the same time, those "who moved from the former regime side and the Baath party to the side of freedom and democracy and those represent a role model."

He warned that the terrorists, Qaeda, and the militias "were exercising the same crimes committed by the former regime, and invited them to leave this outrageous behavior and respect human rights and the principles of freedom and democracy."

Meanwhile, the statement said, and within the National Day celebration of the mass graves, Maliki met, later today, with a delegation from Faili Kurds.

He said "an Iraqi equals another Iraqi without any discrimination," noting that the standard of identity will be the United Identity after the cancellation of the certificate of nationality. /End/
