Azeri delegation of Caucasian Muslims Board visiting Uzbekistan

Bukhara (AzerTAc) - The visiting Azerbaijani delegation led by head of the Caucasian Muslims` Board and the Supreme Religious Board of Caucasian peoples Sheikh ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade started their trip to Uzbekistan with the city of Bukhara.
Governor of Bukhara province Samoydin Husenov greeted members of the Supreme Religious Board of Caucasian Peoples. He stressed Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan relationship has developed much.
Allahshukur Pashazade briefed the governor on ancient fraternal and friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. Head of the Caucasian Muslims` Board underlined that national leader Heydar Aliyev and Uzbek President Islam Karimov had been close friends.
He also said that the visit of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan gave a kick-start to strengthening of relations between the two countries.
Uzbek ambassador to Azerbaijan Ismatilla Ergashev and adviser of Azerbaijan Embassy in the country Akif Aliyev also attended the meeting.
Azeri delegation also visited the Cultural Center “Ancient and eternal Bukhara” and museum “The history of Bukhara”.
The visitors prayed namaz at the Baha-ud-Din Naqshband Complex of Miri-Arab Madrassah (religious school of Mussulmen).
