900 liter alcohol seized

Karachi, May 26, 2011 (PPI): A 10-member team of Sindh Excise Police conducted a raid at a house in Murad Brohi village located near Gharo town at national highway and seized 900 liter alcohol, which was to be used for manufacturing the liquor domestically. The accused identified as Sikandar however escaped from scene.

The team, led by Deputy Director Excise Akhtar Azad and AETO Sadqain, had a tip off that a huge quantity of alcohol has been kept at a mud-house for illegal trade of locally made liquor. The excise police seized 30 plastic cans containing 30 liter alcohol each to be used for manufacturing at least 3600 liter liquor.

The excise police have registered case and is conducting raids for arrest of accused.
