"Change in Syria Conference" begins in Antalya


ANTALYA (A.A) - 01.06.2011 - The "Change in Syria Conference" organized by Syrian opposition members began in southern province of Antalya on Wednesday.
The participants at the conference will issue a declaration as the "road map" for Syria.
An administrative commission comprised of 31 individuals will be formed as part of the conference.
The participants of the conference indicated that they wanted to extend support to the Syrian people for a revolution in Syria via the media.
Speaking to the AA, the Secretary General of the Damascus Declaration National Council, Enes Al-Abda said that the present regime in Syria could not be reformed.
We have no alternative but change. We want a real change in Syria, Al-Abda stressed.
Also speaking to the AA, one of the leaders of Muslim Brothers in Canada, Molham Al-Drobi said that Bashar al-Asad was not a competent person to rule Syria.
The Asad administration must be changed. The situation in Syria is getting closer to a revolution and change, Al-Drobi stressed.
More than 300 Syrian opponents are participating in the Antalya conference.
