Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan mull interparliamentary cooperation

Bishkek, June 1 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Arif Agayev met with Speaker of Kyrgyz parliament Akhmatbek Keldibekov.
The speaker pledged the parliament and government do everything possible to prevent events similar to those in Osh, Jalalabad.
Keldibekov noted he had met two times with chairman of the Azerbaijan`s Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov to discuss economic, humanitarian cooperation as well as interpalriamentary ties.
Agayev pointed out Azerbaijan is interested in expansion of cooperation between the two countries and its parliaments.
The diplomat pointed out Kyrgyzstan hosts over 20 thousand Azerbaijanis, victims of repression.
