Volvo to recall 192 vehicles due to defective parts

SEOUL, June 2 (Yonhap) -- Global automaker Volvo will voluntarily recall 192 vehicles in South Korea due to defective parts, the transportation ministry said Thursday.
Two models are subject to the recall, including 182 vehicles of the S60 model manufactured between June 22 last year and May 18 this year. They were found to have defective fuel pump components that could cause their engines to halt while in drive.
Six more vehicles of the same model produced from Jan. 20-28 this year will also be affected due to possible fuel leaks from defective components in fuel pipes.
Additionally, four cars of the XC90 model will be recalled after they were found to have faulty parts that could hurt the overall wheel performance, the ministry said.
This marks the second recall of its kind by Volvo in South Korea this year. In February, it recalled 1,449 vehicles due to defective parts in the gas control system.
