More asylum seekers reach Christmas Island

Another asylum seeker boat has arrived in Australian waters.
HMAS Glenelg boarded the vessel southeast of Christmas Island on Tuesday. The boat was earlier detected by a RAAF maritime patrol plane.
The boat was carrying an estimated 59 passengers and two crew, Home Affairs Minister Brendan O'Connor said in a statement.
"The passengers will be transferred to Christmas Island pending removal to another country," Mr O'Connor said.
The boat is the sixth to arrive since the government announced its controversial refugee swap deal with Malaysia last month.
