Rigi member put on trial

TEHRAN, June 8 (MNA) – A member of the Rigi terrorist group, Sakhi Rigi, has been put on trial in the southeastern city of Zahedan.

Sakhi Rigi, known as Saeed Balouch, was sentenced to 20 years in exile in Ahvaz, given a 6-month imprisonment and was also ordered to pay a fine of 18,000,000 rials, Zahedan prosecutor general Mohammad Marziyeh announced.

Sakhi Rigi was convicted of conducing illegal computer activities and soft warfare to help Abdolmalek Rigi, the leader of the terrorist Jundullah group, achieve his objectives, Marziyeh noted.

Marzieyeh said that Sakhi Rigi was arrested in July 2010 on charges of moharebeh (enmity against God) for supporting Abdolmalek Rigi.

The general prosecutor said Sakhi Rigi also created two weblogs for publishing Rigi group’s propagandas.

The criminal also published on his weblog materials and news against the Islamic Republic, which were taken from foreign websites.

In June 2010, Abdolmalek Rigi was hanged at Tehran’s Evin prison. He had been charged with 79 offences.
