President Ilham Aliyev offers Russia Day greetings to Dmitry Medvedev
Baku (AzerTAc) - Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of congratulations to Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev as his country celebrates Russia Day.
“On behalf of the people of Azerbaijan and on my own behalf I congratulate you and the whole people of Russia on your public holiday, Russia Day.”
“Today friendly Russia is successfully moving forward along the path of political, socio-economic and moral modernization.
For centuries Azerbaijan and Russia have been bound up by close ties of friendship, good neighborhood and mutual support,” the Azerbaijani leader said.
“I`m confident that our multifaceted cooperation and strategic partnership will continue developing in the name of prosperity of our peoples and countries, regional peace, stability and progress.”
President Ilham Aliyev wished Dmitry Medvedev “strong health, happiness and successes in your state activity”, and the whole people of Russia peace and prosperity.
