Swedish Foreign Minister visits historical core of Baku
Baku, June 14 (AzerTAc). Minister of Foreign Affairs of Sweden Carl Bildt has toured Monday Icharishahar, Inner City, historic core of Azerbaijan`s capital.
The Swedish Minister firstly familiarized himself with the Maiden Tower, the Office of Icharishahar (Inner City) State Historical-Architectural Reserve said.
The Minister was informed about the Icharishahar which was included together with the Maiden Tower and the Palace of Shirvanshahs in the UNESCO`s World Heritage List.
Swedish Foreign Minister visited two-stored Karvansaray built in XV century, Ashur Mosque constructed by Najaf Ashur Ibrahim oglu in 1169, Juma Mosque and Art Garden.
Carl Bildt signed Icharishahar`s guest book.
