Azerbaijani Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population attends ILO session
Baku (AzerTAc) - Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan Fizuli Alakbarov has visited Geneva to attend the 100th session of the International Labour Organization (ILO).
The Azeri Minister made a report in the session and held a number of meetings as part of the visit. Socio-economic development of Azerbaijan, reforms and projects, as well as achievements in improving living conditions of population and other issues were discussed in the meetings.
During the meetings, ILO officials praised social, education and healthcare reforms in Azerbaijan. The parties agreed on ILO`s support for preparation of an employment strategy in Azerbaijan.
ILO is a specialized agency of the United Nations that deals with labour issues pertaining to international labor standards.
