(Adds details)

ASTANA, June 15 (Itar-Tass) - Presidents of Russia, Iran and
Kazakhstan Dmitry Medvedev, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and Nursultan Nazarbayev
will have a trilateral meeting on Wednesday, a diplomatic source close to
the negotiations told Itar-Tass.
The negotiations are due in the afternoon on Wednesday on the fields
of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit.
On Tuesday, Russia's Presidential Aide Sergei Prikhodko said that
"during summits traditionally Russia's president has meetings both with
heads of SCO member-countries' delegations and with representatives of
observers." Iran has the status.
On June 6, Medvedev said that "quite soon" he would have a meeting
with Iran's president and promised to raise a topic of modernisation of
the Russia-Iran cooperation.
Medvedev and Ahmadinejad had their latest meeting on November 18, 2010
in Baku during a summit of Caspian countries. They discussed Iran's
nuclear problem then.
On the fields of the SCO summit, Medvedev will have a meeting with
Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai. The sides will discuss
implementation of major bilateral projects, Prikhodko said.
Russia's and Afghanistan's presidents had the latest meeting in
January in Moscow.
"The upcoming contact of Medvedev with Karzai is a good opportunity to
verify the current bilateral relations," Prikhodko said.
