Abdul Mahdi, Allawi discuss political developments

Baghdad (NINA) – Vice-President, Adel Abdul Mahdi, discussed on a phone call the recent developments in the political and security fields with Dr. Iyad Allawi, head of the Iraqiya Slate.

A presidential statement said that both sides reiterated the importance of exerting efforts to find a way out of the political impasse that Iraq is undergoing through letting go of disputes and through national dialogue as well.

Both sides agreed also on the continuation of negotiations between the political blocs to reach solutions suitable to everyone. /End/
