Azerbaijan`s economy grew 0.8% in five months of the year
Baku (AzerTAc) - Azerbaijan`s Gross Domestic Product made AZN17.6 billion in the first five months of 2011, up by 0.8% from a year earlier, State Statistical Committee said.
The committee said 55.1% of the GDP`s total volume was produced in the industrial sector, while 3.1% in agriculture, 6.8% in construction, 7.9 in trade and transport, 6.6% in transport, 1.8% in communication, and 11% in social and other services.
The GDP per capita made nearly $1953 or AZN2460 in January-May.
The committee said 55.1% of the GDP`s total volume was produced in the industrial sector, while 3.1% in agriculture, 6.8% in construction, 7.9 in trade and transport, 6.6% in transport, 1.8% in communication, and 11% in social and other services.
