PREMIER MEETS WU BANGGUO


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday, the Prime Minister S.Batbold arrived in Beijing in frames of his official visit to the People's Republic of China (PRC).
At the airport the Premier was welcomed by Hu Zhengyue, the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs; Wang Xiaolong, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC to Mongolia; Ts.Batbayar, a Minister-Counselor of Mongolia's Embassy in China, and other diplomats.
Negotiations have run between Mongolia's Premier and Wu Bangguo, the Chairman and Party secretary of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (SCNPC). The sides have discussed the bilateral relations and cooperation, and a collaboration between Mongolia's State Great Khural and the National People's Congress.
Mr. Bangguo has mentioned Mongolia is one of the first countries to establish the diplomatic relations with China, and emphasized that the relations have been developing having overcome many complicated times. “Mutual high-level visits have been regularizing, the mutual confidence in politics has been strengthening, and the economic cooperation have been widening,” Mr. Bangguo has stressed, adding the countries are actively partaking in international activities.
He has said China's side wants to keep the relations and cooperation with Mongolia in all spheres and to enrich them with new contents aiming to improve living standards of peoples. Mr. Bangguo has expressed a willingness to cooperate with Mongolia in implementing the biggest strategic projects in mining, energy, infrastructure construction, in agriculture and land farming technologies renovation.
In response, Mongolia's Prime Minister has mentioned that developing of good neighborhood and friendly relations and cooperation with China is one of the priorities of Mongolian foreign policy. He has said the bilateral relations and cooperation have been developing successfully in all sectors, especially in trade and economics. He has thanked the Chinese side for a support to Mongolia for the socio-economic development, and requested the National People's Congress to support the relations.
Present at the meeting were Ts.Sukhbaatar, Mongolia's Ambassador; S.Bayartsogt MP, the Minister of Finance; Kh.Battulga, the Minister of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development; T.Badamjunai, the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry; Yo.Otgonbayar, the Minister of Education, Culture and Science; B.Batbayar, Kh.Narankhuu, S.Oyun MPs; and others.
After the meeting, the Mongolian delegation visited the National Theatre of Beijing.
