WCO Capacity Building Director visiting Azerbaijan
Baku, June 18 (AzerTAc). Capacity Building Director of the World Customs Organization (WCO) Erich Kieck paid a visit to Azerbaijan.
Kieck visited the Alley of Honors to lay a wreath at the tomb of architect and founder of Azerbaijani state, national leader Heydar Aliyev.
He also put flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Aliyeva.
WCO official also visited the Alley of Martyrs to commemorate Azerbaijani heroes who gave their lives for the country`s independence and territorial integrity. He laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame monument.
As part of the visit, WCO Capacity Building Director met with Chairman of Azerbaijan`s State Customs Committee Aydin Aliyev.
Aliyev briefed the WCO official on Committee`s activity. He praised cooperation between Azerbaijan and WCO. Aliyev thanked WCO for the support in construction fo the newly-buildint European Regional Office in Baku.
Kieck visited the operations center of the committee and its Central Hospital.
