Azeri film presented in Moldova

Baku, June 25 (AzerTAc). A presentation ceremony of a film “Yokhlama” (“Control”) directed by Vagif Mustafayev was held in Chisinau, Moldova on Friday.
The co-organizers of the ceremony were the Azerbaijan Embassy in Moldova and the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Moldova.
The presentation was dedicated to the 20th anniversaries of restoration of independences of Azerbaijan and Moldova.
Opening the ceremony, Azeri ambassador Namig Aliyev thanked the chairwoman of the Presidential Administration of Moldova Ana Maria Popescu for the support. Aliyev said that filmmaker Vagif Mustafayev is Azerbaijan people’s artist, the State Prize laureate, member of European Film and Television Academy, International Council of Russian Cinematographers Union and vice president of the Eurasian Academy of Television and Radio. He stressed the film was shot in 2006 and awarded Grand Prix of Eurasia Teleforum the same year.
In her turn, Popescu said that Azerbaijan is the most dynamically developing country in the world. She highlighted progress achieved thanks to reforms in political, economic and social spheres.
“Traditional friendship and bilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Moldova will always develop”, Popescu said.
The presentation brought together heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Moldova, political and public figures of the country, chairman and members of Moldovan Azerbaijanis Congress and representatives of mass media.
