4th Congress of Turkic mathematical society wraps up in Baku

Baku, July 6 (AzerTAc). The 4th Congress of the Turkic World Mathematical Society (TWMS) has ended in Azerbaijan`s capital.
The congress was organized by the Azerbaijan`s Education Ministry, National Academy of Sciences and Scientific Research Institute of Applied Mathematics of the Baku State University.
The event has brought together scientists from 20 countries including Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, France, US, Russia, UK and others.
Speakers at the event touched upon the main role of these spheres in the world and importance of TWMS`s activity stressing the special attention of Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev to the development of science.
Sector meetings of the congress featured 314 reports on theoretical and application problems and methodology of mathematics.
Azerbaijan`s Minister of Education Misir Mardanov was elected a president of the TWMS for the next three years. The vice presidents will be academician Fikrat Aliyev (Azerbaijan), Professor Etibar Panahov (Turkey), academician Amanbek Zhainakov (Kyrgyzstan), Professor Nargozu Danayev (Kazakhstan). Kazakhstan Minister of Education and Science, ex-president of TWMS, academician Bakytzhan Zhumagulov was elected honorary president of TWMS.
The TWMS`s fund was created at the event and academician Fikrat Aliyev became the president of the organization.
Congress of the Turkic World Mathematical Society (CTWMS) was founded in 1999 in Elazig city, Turkey. Society affiliates mathematicians from Turkish countries – Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as scientists from Russia, China, the USA, France, Sweden and others.
The goal of the organization is to achieve Turkish scientists` integration all over the world, assist them in establishing ties with world`s renowned scientific centers and promote Turkish scientists` recognition in the world.
