Nuseif calls for not extending the agreement with the US or replacing it
Baghdad (NINA) – MP from the White Iraqiya Slate, Aliya Nuseif, called on the Iraqi people and government not to “extend the security agreement with the Americans or replace it.”
In a press statement, Nuseif said “the executive and legislative authorities need to review and re-evaluate the American presence and performance in Iraq on the internal and external levels.”
“On the external level, the American administration left Iraq under the Article 7, of the UN, while it could have had a better role in this crisis that Iraq suffered from for years,” she added.
“The US kept silence regarding all regional aggressions against Iraq, violating its commitments towards Iraq,” she explained.
She concluded by saying “it is painful to see lots of countries that hold US bases are considered now as progressive country, while we did not get anything, eventually, but destruction, sabotage, and division.” /End/
