Sayhoud: American leaders’ statements regarding their troops stay in Iraq, propaganda

Baghdad (NINA) – MP from State of Law Coalition, Mohammed Sadoun Al Sayhoud, described statements delivered by American leaders regarding the stay of part of their troops in Iraq as propaganda.

In a press statement, Sayhoud said “the security agreement does not include any paragraph allowing the extension, partially or totally, for the American troops in Iraq.”

He added that “any stay for the US troops in Iraq will not exist unless a new agreement between the Iraqi government and the occupation forces is signed and endorsed by the Parliament.”

“Talks are ongoing between the two governments to arrange procedures allowing the stay of American forces for training, not fighting,” Sayhoud said, explaining that the current agreement does not included extending the stay for any combating forces unless the Iraqi government asks for it. /End/
