International youth industrial forum opens on Lake Baikal

IRKUTSK, July 19 (Itar-Tass) - The first international youth
industrial forum Engineers of the Future 2011 opens on Tuesday on Lake
Baikal.
Taking part are about 1,500 young specialists from industrial
companies, students, post-graduate students and representatives of youth
organisations from 50 countries of the world, including Russia, Ukraine,
Armenia and Kazakhstan as well as Brazil, India, China, Italy, Germany and
France.
Forum organizers say its aim is to consolidate efforts of young people
from Russia and foreign countries to develop and jointly implement
projects and programs aimed at the development of mechanical engineering
and linked industries.
Within a week participants in the forum will attend lectures and
seminars under the leadership of representatives from Russia's leading
aircraft-building companies, such as Sukhoi, KnAAPO, United Shipbuilding
Corporation, Oboronprom and Helicopters of Russia, as well as Gaz Group,
Vneshekonombank, AVTOVAZ, Atomenergomash, KAMAZ.
The forum was organized by the all-Russia public organisation Russian
Union of Mechanical Engineers and the Irkutsk region government. "We
create a unique platform where every young person will get instruments for
self-development and growth. The best participants will get into the focus
of close attention of the leadership of the country's industrial complex.
The forum Engineers of the Future 2011 is a chance for everybody," the
vice president of the union, Vladimir Gutenyov, said.
