Kuwait keen to enhance ties with Iran -- minister
KUWAIT, July 24 (KUNA) -- Kuwait is keen on enhancing bilateral relations and exchange of expertise with Tehran, Kuwaiti Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Affairs Mohammad Abbas Al-Nomes stated.
Al-Nomes was speaking to the media after he received the Iranian Ambassador to Kuwait Rouhollah Qahremani, and said he and his guest discussed areas of Islamic cooperation and development of ties between the two countries.
Qahremani praised the Kuwaiti ministry's moderate approach to issues, which helps approximate stances and help bring Muslims of different schools of thought closer together to best serve the Muslim Nation.
The meeting was attended by the ministry's acting undersecretary Dr. Motlaq Al-Qerawi
