LEE MYUNG-BAK TO VISIT MONGOLIA

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The President of the Republic of Korea Lee Myung-bak plans to pay a visit to Mongolia August 21-23, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia reported Wednesday. Earlier, Mr. Lee Myung-bak visited Mongolia when he was a Mayor of Seoul city.
The diplomatic relations were established between Mongolia and the Republic of Korea March 26, 1990. South Korea opened its Embassy in the UB city in 1990, and a year later--Mongoia in the South Korea.
Since the establishment of the diplomatic relations, the Presidents of Mongolia P.Ochirbat and N.Bagabandi paid visits to the Republic of Korea in 1991 and 2001, respectively. A Parliament Speaker R.Gonchigdorj visited the South Korea in 2000, Prime Ministers R.Amarjargal and N.Enkhbayar--in 1999 and 2003, respectively.
From the S.Korean side, a President Kim Dae-jung visited us in 1999, a Premier Lee Han-dong--in 2001, and a Speaker of the National Assembly Pak Jyung-gu--in 1999.
