MONGOLIANS DESIGN STATUE OF FIRST BULGARIAN EMPEROR


Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A a statue of the First Emperor of Bulgaria Asparukh, created by the Mongolian archirtectors and sculptors Kh.Ganbat, D.Ildbaatar, B.Enkhzol, Ts.Enkhbat and D.Sanchirm has been unveiled in Strelcha city in Bulgaria.
They has been led by a former first secretary of Bulgaria's Embassy in Mongolia Ivan Yevstatiev. Reaching almost seven meters in height statue has been assembled between July 19 and 26, according to authority of Strelcha.
Present at the ceremony were Nikola Belishki, a member of the GERB ruling political party; Doncho Baksanov, a governor of Pazardzhik province; Kiril Iordanov, a governor of Varna city; and other delegates and businessmen.
After the ceremony, 60 servicemen paraded, and some ceremonial events were run. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Bulgaria Ts.Gankhuyag has given a congratulatory speech, and presented to Mr. Ilo Ilov, a governor of Strelcha city, a painting named "Nomadic Bulgarians". Then, the Mongolian artists have been granted certificates of gratitude. An Honorary Consul of Mongolia to Cyprus Mr. Andreas Kristoferides also has attended the ceremony.
