QUETTA (PPI) - US Ambassador to Pakistan Cameron Munter has said that American would continue to play its role for strengthening democracy in this country.

Speaking to newsmen after his meeting with Speaker Baluchistan Assembly Muhammad Aslam Bhotani here Thursday, Munter said America is proud of its friendship with Pakistan and two countries have good relations. He said Pakistan particularly Baluchistan has great importance for us. Whenever Pakistan needs our assistance, we would be there for it.

He said America would extend assistance for water and energy projects. He said he received great love from the people of Balcohsitan. They are great host.

He said America views present democratic government in Pakistan with respect and it would continue to play its role for stability of democracy. He said financial assistance for completion of development projects undergoing with American Assistance in Baluchistan would continue.

Earlier at his meeting with Speaker Bhotani, exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and ongoing development projects.

Aslam Bhotani said that American Ambassador’s visit to Quetta showsthat America is desirous of promotion of democracy.
